Ingredients for Malpua:

  • All-Purpose Flour - 200 grams,
  • Coconut milk - 400 grams,
  • A grated coconut,
  • Sugar - 300 grams
  • Ghee - 4 teaspoons,
  • Baking powder - half a teaspoon,
  • Pistachio - 50 grams,
  • Some water,

Method of Malpua:

  1. Mix 200 grams of flour, only 100 grams of coconut milk, and baking powder in a bowl and knead it. Then, after adding coconut milk little by little, make a thin batter by kneading the flour.
  2. Put 300 grams of sugar and half a glass of water in a pan and heat it for 4 to 5 minutes to make syrup. Leave the syrup on the stove to keep it warm but reduce the heat. To keep the syrup thin, add some water if necessary.
  3. Heat the pan and spread the batter of flour with a large spoon, apply some ghee around and above. After a while, flip the Malpua and apply some ghee on it and cook. Turn the Malpua several times to cook well on both sides. Then immerse the Malpua in syrup.
  4. Spread grated coconut on a large plate. Then place the Malpua on the coconut crush and sprinkle the coconut on the Malpua. Sprinkle finely chopped pistachios on top.

Malpua is ready for the festival of Holi.
