Recipe-For-Farali -Sabudana-Jalebi-For-Apwas|| Religious-Fasting-Dish||
To make Farali dishes occasionally Sabudana and Samo flour are used for the fasting purpose in Hindu families. Let's make Jalebi, a famous Indian famous sweet, with these ingredients.
Ingredients for Farali -Sabudana-Jalebi:
- Potato - 1 boiled.
- Yogurt - 300 ml..
- Barnyard millet (sama flour) - 1 cup.
- Sago flour - 1/4 cup.
- Saffron - some quantity.
- Cream(Desi Ghee)
- for frying.
- Sugar - 1 cup.
- Pistachios (finely chopped) - 2tsp.
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp.
- Water - As needed.
Method of Farali -Sabudana-Jalebi:
- Crush the boiled potato, grind to make a paste. Add the potato paste with yogurt, all the flours, some of the saffron, and knead to make a medium thick batter by adding water little by little. Keep aside by covering with the cotton.
- Pour the water into a vessel, add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron, and boil to make a thin syrup.
- Fill the batter in a cone or bottle.
- Heat the cream(desi ghee0 in a wok on medium flow and extract the batter through one making a round shape of Jalebi. Fry the sweets by flipping till it becomes golden by color.
- Dip in the syrup for 2-3 minutes to get the syrup absorbed by Jalebi.
