Best Summer Recipe For Bottle Gourd Balls|


The Calabash, aka Bottle Gourd's Creamy Ball Recipes.

Many vegetables are available to the market in the winter, but the real problem arises when vegetables are scarce in the summer. However, Bottle Gourd, a type of Calabash, is one such vegetable that is good to consume in summer, good for health, and is rich in vitamins and minerals. The dish made by bottle gourd is tasty. Here is a recipe for creamy bottle gourd balls(kofta in Hindi) for your family.

Ingredients for Bottle Gourd Balls:

[1] Making the bottle gourd balls.

  • Grated milk - 2 cups,
  • Gram flour - 1 cup,
  • Ginger-garlic-chilli paste - 1 tsp,
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp,
  • Coriander grated - 1 tsp,
  • Sugar powder - 1/2 tsp,
  • Semolina - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as per taste,

[2] For the gravy:

  • Chopped tomato - 2 nos,
  • Chopped onion - 2 nos,
  • Green chili - 1 no,
  • Ginger - a small piece,
  • Garlic - 5 cloves,
  • Turmeric - half tsp,
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp,
  • Asafoetida - Chopped,
  • cumin - half teaspoon,
  • Kitchen King Masala - 1 tsp,
  • salt - as per taste,
  • oil - 3 tsp.

[3] Garnish:

  • Chopped coriander, fresh cream

Method of Bottle Gourd Balls:

[1] Malinkg the bottle gourd balls.

  1. After taking the gram flour in a wide bowl, mix semolina, pour the milk slowly, and make a thick batter appropriate for making a ball.
  2. Make medium-sized balls by mixing all the ingredients, as shown [1] in the ingredient list.
  3. Fry the balls in hot oil till they become crispy and golden.
  4. Take out the balls on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.

  7. Now heat two spoons of oil in a pan and fry the chopped tomatoes, onions, and ginger-garlic-chili well.
  8. When it cools down, make a paste in the mixer.
  9. Fry the prepared paste by adding cumin and asafoetida in 2 tbsp oil. (as shown [2] in the ingredient list).
  10. Add turmeric, red chili powder, salt to taste, and kitchen masala.
  11. Add water as required and let the gravy boil.
  12. When it becomes slightly thick, turn the gas off, and dip the balls in it after pinching around the balls.

Drizzle with fresh cream, garnish with coriander, and serve with hot milk kofta parathas.
The delicious bottle gourd balls are ready to eat with the bread or parathas.
