Recipe For Drumstick Curry| Sahajan Curry| Moringa Curry|
Healthy Sahajan or Saragava or Moringa Curry Recipe.
The drumstick has known as Moringa, Sahajan in Hindi, and Saragvo in Gujarati.
It's widely used to make a sambhar (curry) to consume with Idali or Dhosa, a popular South Indian dish, in the South region of India. Preferably it's used to make curry or soup in mostly all Indian families.
Drumstick is healthy for the body, controls blood sugar levels, boosts immunity, improves metabolism, and strengthens bones, lungs, and veins. (See the link at the end of the post for details).
It should be regularly consumed in the family for not just delicacy but for health also. It's the favorite of the writer of this recipe.
Ingredients for Drumstick Curry:
- Drumstick(Moringa) pods-7 to 8 nos.
- Sour buttermilk - 1 glass.
- Gram flour - 2 tbsp.
- Salt – as per taste.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp.
- Chopped green chilies – 2 nos.
- Rye-half a tbsp.
- Cumin - half a tbsp.
- Cloves - 2 nos.
- fenugreek-chopped - 1/4 cup.
- Asafoetida chopped - 1/4 cup.
- Curry leaves - 4 to 5.
- a chopped Tomato.
- Grated ginger - one tsp.
Method of Drumstick Curry:
- Boil Sargwan with little salt and water.
- Now boil buttermilk by mixing salt, turmeric, sugar, and chopped green chilies as per taste.
- Heat oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds, cloves, rye, cumin seeds, and curry leaves, and add chopped tomatoes and grated ginger.
- Pour this mixture into the boiling buttermilk.
- Also, add boiled Drumsticks.
- Let it boil for five to seven minutes.
The Drums stick Curry is ready to serve hot.
