How to prepare readymade spices powder at home?

    There is no need to prepare the spices separately, sorting each item while making any savory dish. This readymade spice powder composition is good to make delicious pakoras( A salty, fried Indian item - see recipes). Readymade spice powder saves cooking time.

 

Ingredients for readymade spice powder:

  • 2 tbsp coriander seeds.
  • 2 tbsp cumin.
  • 20-25 dry red chilies.
  • 1 Tbsp black pepper.
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds.
  • 1 tbsp carom seeds.
  • 1 tbsp rock salt.
  • 1 tbsp chaat masala powder.

Method of readymade spice powder::

  1. Heat a pan on the high flame and roast red dry chilies. The chilies will become slightly brown and crispy. Then spread it in a broad tray to cool down at room temperature.
  2. Also, roast cumins and corianders in the same way.  
  3. Then roast the celery, black pepper, and fennel and let it cool down too.
  4. Mix all these spices when cooled, and make coarse powder with the grinder.
  5. Then add rock salt, chaat masala powder, and regrind to make a fine powder.
  6. Now homemade Spice powder -with marvelous fragrance- is ready.
