Here is the recipe for the Rajgara Puri for the Navaratri festival for you.

Ingredient for Rajgara Poori:

  • Amaranth (Rajgara) Flour- 1 cup
  • Potato (boiled)- 2
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Rock Salt- 3/4 tsp
  • Oil for frying

Method of Rajgara :

  1. Grat the boil potatoes and mix with the Rajgara flour.
  2. Add cumin seeds and rock salt, and knead the flour well and put aside with a close lid for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil on high flame and when becomes proper hot turn the flame to medium.
  4. Apply some oil on the pam and knead the dough again.
  5. Make thick puri with a light hand by rolling pin.
  6. Make the puri thinner by stamping with palms.
  7. Fry and flip the puris in the oil pan to have a golden color.
  8. Shift in a plate, the Rajgara poori is ready for Satvik Navratri thali.
