Motichur Ladoo, a type of an Indian pudding is a delicious dessert that is made with motichur ladoos, milk, khoya, custard powder, sugar, and spices. It is layered in a glass and garnished with dried fruits and rose petals. It is chilled in the fridge and served cold.

Ingredients:

  • Motichur ladoos - 250 gms
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Saffron - 8 to 10 strands
  • Custard powder - 1 tsp
  • Khoya(Consentrated Milk ) - 50 gms
  • Sugar - 4 tsp
  • Cashews, almonds, pistachios - 2 spoons (chopped)
  • Rose petals - for garnishing

Method:

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium flame. When it starts to boil, dissolve the custard powder in some cold milk and add it to the saucepan. Stir well to avoid lumps.
  2. Crumble the khoya and add it to the milk. Also add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron. Boil until the milk thickens and becomes creamy. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down.
  3. Take a serving glass and press and crumble a motichur ladoo at the bottom. Pour some of the prepared milk custard over it. Repeat with another layer of ladoo and custard.
  4. Depending on the size of the glass, you can make as many layers as you want. Make sure the last layer is of custard.
  5. Garnish the pearl pudding with chopped dried fruits and rose petals. Refrigerate it for a few hours until chilled.
